nature commands
I find it so very interesting that amongst the inaccurate weather predictions from the most technologically advanced computers, nothing is as good as 1,000’s of year old predictions….all based on the earliest of time. We are in our 3rd day here of a snow/winter storm and not one prediction came from the weather people……but I had said early on that the farmer’s almanac was calling for a cold and snowy winter for us. No, that’s just not going to happen they said, well it did and is!! Being pagan is so beautiful and it really reaches into my soul at times like these and reminds me simply and gracefully that nature will do what it does best regardless of what we predict it should do….Xposted at apagans.lifeontheridge.com

Hey Karismar! First off, LOVE the puppy pics!!!!! Would love to see more, as they grow. Newfy & Bernese Mountain Dog were two breeds I was very interested in, before we wound up with my Samy-mix (pound puppy). I love how big & gentle those two breeds are. As I said, would LOVE to see more puppy pics!!!!
Secondly, what were the signs, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, that were leading you toward the conclusion of imminent snow-fall??? After the onset of winter, I’m not aware of any indicators of snow-fall, for us, beyond the “well, the clouds are low, heavy & med. gray” to indicate to me an upcoming snow-fall. It’d be nice to see some “signs” to keep an eye open for.

Kati-glad you like the puppies, I will post more as they grow, just for you! As for the signs of snow-fall…it was all in the good old Farmer’s Almanac that I bought at the local nursery here last year. Boy do they know their stuff! It’s such a great read, very very interesting. They were right on in their summer predictions too. I believe you can also buy the subscription online too, if you can’t find any of the books.

I’ll have to see if I can find one, next time I get to a store that carries books.
