I love freecycle! Yesterday I answered an offer for free plants. Turns out, the woman lives a mere 12 blocks from me! She has beautiful yards/gardens…..loose and unpretentious calling me at every turn. I thanked her for my treasures and asked if I may come back again not to take more plants but to come and hang out in her gardens.
She is older than I am and full of knowledge and experience. I have always been drawn to those much older than myself……I find comfort in their wisdom. When spring comes around and the plants begin to poke their heads out of earth, I will always remember her kindness.
