things that go bump

The bumps I mentioned in my previous post turned out to be swollen taste buds on my tongue. Who knew they swelled?!   The dr. didn’t know why I had a reaction to a homeopathic pill but told me to take Bendadryl to counteract it. It knocked me out and made me very foggy. My tastebuds are still swollen but my throat isn’t so tight. I finally asked her for some real anxiety meds and left with a prescription for Lexapro. I’ve had it for 4 days and I don’t like it at all. It makes me fuzzy and unclear in thinking…..of couse my anxiety is gone, I’m too much in a fog to know!  lol   So, I guess I’ll go back to the natural route and maybe consider accupuncture and therapy.

My friends garage sale was a complete bust and we’ve both vowed to never do one again!  It was good to get rid of some unnecessary things but it wasn’t through the sale….we gave it to the Salvation Army which is what we should  have done to begine with. Live and learn, over and over sometimes emoticon

  1. Happy Lughnasadh!

Be careful with the Lexapro, it’s known for causing a weight gain you’ll have a heck of a time trying to lose. I was on some last year for about three weeks, it took the edge off my anxiety but I found that regular exercise and yoga or meditating did a great job of managing my anxiety. Hopefully you can get to that point and not need those nasty meds.

oh, and aromatherapy too. Go squeeze and sniff some citrus next time you are at the grocers!

  2. I lasted 4 days on the Lexapro and after much reading about the drug, promptly took myself off it. I need to get my butt back to yoga and that alone will at least keep it at a controlled state…it worked before. I see my dr again on the 14th and will schedule an appt. with the accupuncturist that she has in her office. Should have done that in the first place but I seem to take the hardest route possible.
Thanks for the tip on citrus….what does the citrus do for us?
