Exciting news……the democratic headquarters in my area just announced they are setting up shop around the corner from my local yarn shop. most excellent! The table at the yarn shop is a frequent gathering spot for us “bleeding heart liberals” trying to solve the problems brought on by george idot bush. Now to have the democrats home so close is great! It will be so much easier to haul my ass downtown to volunteer now that is not way out in the suburbs!
I have talked, mostly to myself, of creating a blog of my own for some time now and today seemed like the day to begin. Some time by myself came along this afternoon and before I knew it I was on the computer creating this site. I suppose this is a modern version of a diary, something I have never been disciplined to keep up with.
Lately I’ve had some ideas of making beeswax candles. I love candles and always have them around the house and outside, in all seasons of weather. However, most candles have lead wicks and I’m really trying to detoxin this place. The beeswax candles are very expensive and I can’t afford to buy as many as I like to have around here so the thought of making my own came to mind. I was even thinking that if I become proficient at them, I could sell them to local shops downtown. I’ve been looking on ebay for beeswax and today I found a farmer upstate that sells large blocks of beeswax. yay! Its exciting to me that I can support a local farmer and get what I want
